We started our new term last month and it was lovely to see everyone singing together again. We also enjoyed hearing about everyone’s summer adventures, exam results, and experiences from the first few days back at school.
Our junior chorus started learning a fun new piece called Earth by composer Russell Hepplewhite with lyrics by former Children’s Laureate Michael Rosen. The senior chorus worked on an arrangement of Laura Mvula’s Sing to the Moon alongside some pieces by Bach and Tavener.
Looking ahead
For now we are just excited to continue meeting each week to enjoy learning some new songs. Hopefully we will be able to plan some concerts again soon, so we can perform for friends and family. Watch this space for future updates.
